In May of 2013, The National teamed up with singer Ragnar Kjartansson to perform the bands song “Sorrow” on a continuous loop for six hours as part of MoMa PS1’s Sunday Sessions. While the performance was meant to “explore collective experience and emotion,” fans will now get to explore a test of endurance, as the performance is coming to vinyl. The collection called A Lot of Sorrow will come in 9 clear vinyl discs, and will cost fans $150. You can pre-order the set here. All proceeds will go to Partners In Health.
