Echosmith has announced that their brother and guitarist Jamie Sierota will be leaving the band to focus on being on a husband and father. When answering fan questions on Facebook, the band told fans that they will not be replacing Jamie and that he is currently taking a break from music. You can read the statement below.
Hi friends!
As you guys know, we have spent almost all year at home, working hard on our new album (which we are so excited to share with you) and enjoying some MUCH needed time off after traveling the world for three years.
One of the best parts about being home is getting to spend time with our adorable new nephew Django! We love that little guy so much! It’s been so incredible to see our brother Jamie shine in his new role as DAD! He is such a dedicated father and husband. In fact, after taking a lot of time to think about what is best for his family, he has decided that he’s not going to be in the band any longer. We know this was a very hard decision for him, and we are so supportive of his choice. We love him and will miss him so much!
We are still as passionate as ever to continue making music and sharing our new album with you soon. Thank you for your continual patience and support. We love you all and will see you soon!
