The Rocketboys are a local Austin band that is making a name for themselves in the Texas capitol and beyond. The band which is made up of Brandon Kinder (guitar and vocals), Justin Wiseman (keyboards), Josh Campbell (bass), Josh Rodgers (drums), and Lang Freeman on guitar, formed in Abilene, Texas while the group was in college. Their lyrical themes of life, brotherhood, and family are very relatable as the band chronicles their life and musical journeys through their songs.
They released their new album Left | Right on Black Magnetic Records on January 6th. While the band has worked tirelessly to promote their music (the group will be playing their 700th show this year), they have also found another successful medium to get their music in front of people: television. The band made its debut on Glee on January 9th, where their new single “Viva Voce” made an appearance on the show. They have also appeared on other television shows such as Elementary, Royals, and Private Practice. With comparisons to Coldplay and Arcade Fire, The Rocketboys are bound to find much success in their home state and beyond.
