Billboard is reporting that One Direction have a financial stake in 5 Seconds of Summer, the group who is currently opening for the boy band on their current Where We Are tour in the United States. The article states that according to documents filed at London’s Company House the split allows for 120 shares, with One Direction holding 50% and their management having the other 50%. Both groups are currently managed by Modest Management. 5 Seconds of Summer have currently sold 788,000 albums and EP’s and 2.4 million song downloads, which would add up to $250,000 in earnings for One Direction and Modest, which would be $25,000 for each of the five One Direction members.
