Jerry Allison of Buddy Holly and The Crickets has died at the age of 82. While a cause of death was officially given, after looking at a few posts from those closely associated with the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, Texas it looks like Allison died of cancer. As a drummer myself, Jerry was one of the all-time greats, and couldn’t be matched. My heart is heavy today.
