Virginia quartet His Dream of Lions has released their new single “Swingin‘” off of their upcoming EP Pseudo Star, out on February 16th. Talking about the song the band says, “we made Pseudo Star as a way of capturing a unique moment in our band’s life, and in order to do that we had to rise up to the challenge of writing, recording, and releasing a record in a relatively short amount of time. There’s a lot of uncertainty that comes with a challenge like that, and it’s easy to get stuck in your head with fears of being inadequate or failing. However, we had to suppress our own anxieties, get out of our heads a little, and act. So for us “Swingin” encapsulates the instinct that fueled this record. It’s about fighting the good fight, even if it’s against yourself. Swinging unafraid of the fact that you might miss.”
