Every year on February 3rd, the day of Buddy Holly’s death, Listen Here Reviews remembers one of music’s greatest tragedies, and this year is no different. Being a huge Buddy Holly fan myself, Holly is one particular guitarist who should never be forgotten. Known for writing memorable hits such as “Peggy Sue,” “That’ll Be The Day,” and the lesser known songs such as “Wishing” and “True Love Ways” Holly was ahead of his time. Dying at the age of 22 on a plane crash, which also killed his tour mates Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper, The Day The Music Died will forever be known as an historic day in music history.
Over the past few years, LHR has written a story on Holly for our Flashblacks section, a news post asking for the plane crash case to be reopened, and more.
